Sixty minutes.
How do I pay?
You can pay with Cash, Card, Venmo, Check, PayPal, and any other legal tender you carry.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, the big ones we accept are BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare.
Can I cancel the appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment, you won’t be subject to the $125 late cancellation/no-show fee.
What is a free initial phone consultation?
A 20-minute chat between you and me helps ensure we’re a good fit.
What age range do you work with?
I see clients ages 13 to 99.
Do you work with men? Women? Couples? Adolescents?
I work with everyone but specialize in women’s issues and teen therapy.
Are you LGBTQIA-friendly?
Absolutely.
Do you work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions?
Yes, 100%.
Is there anyone you prefer not to have as a client?
I try not to work with anyone under 13 because I lack the skill set or experience, but I’ve broken this rule before.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is an intake. You tell me exactly why you are seeking therapy, and I record a bunch of details about your situation – stuff we can build on later.
How long will I be in therapy?
The length of treatment is unique to each person. Some people need one session, while others need more time to meet their goals.
Does anyone cry in front of you?
Yes, it’s perfectly normal!
Do I have to tell you everything?
Definitely – not! What you share is totally up to you.
Who benefits from therapy?
I’m biased, but everyone benefits.
Do you offer video or phone sessions?
Yes, whatever is most convenient for you!
Is our work confidential?
Yes. Everything you share with me stays between the two of us.
How long have you been in practice?
Four years.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
I have been in therapy for decades. I know exactly what it’s like to be on the sofa instead of the chair.
What is your educational background?
I have a BS in Psychology from the University of South Florida and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University.

Do you prescribe medications?
No. But I can refer you to a psychiatrist if you need prescription medication.

You can sit wherever and however you want.
